Top 5 Dining and Restaurants Apps in Ireland Q3 2023

The third quarter of 2023 showcased some interesting trends in the dining and restaurant mobile apps sector in Ireland. Here’s a closer look at the performance of the top 5 apps: McDonald’s - Non-US, Domino’s Pizza Delivery, SQUID - Loyalty + Rewards, OpenTable, and Costa Coffee Club Ireland.

McDonald’s - Non-US experienced a significant spike in downloads in early September, peaking at around 25K in the week of September 11. This surge was accompanied by an increase in weekly active users, which rose from approximately 55K at the end of August to around 90K by mid-September.

Domino’s Pizza Delivery saw a steady growth in downloads throughout the quarter. The app's downloads increased from about 2K in late June to over 4K by the end of September. Weekly active users also showed a positive trend, rising from around 13K to over 16K in the same period.

SQUID - Loyalty + Rewards had a notable increase in downloads in September, reaching a peak of nearly 5K in the week of September 18. This is a significant jump from the average of around 1.5K downloads per week earlier in the quarter.

OpenTable experienced a decline in both downloads and weekly active users over the quarter. The app's downloads decreased from about 2.2K in late June to below 1K by the end of September. Similarly, weekly active users dropped from around 14K to approximately 11K in the same timeframe.

Costa Coffee Club Ireland maintained a steady download rate throughout the quarter, with a slight increase from around 1.2K in late June to approximately 1.8K by the end of September. Weekly active users remained relatively stable, hovering around the 500 mark.
